Lewis explored this fairytaleness of our faith far better than i ever could, and reading the Bible itself transports one inevitably to Once Upon on a Time...only its REAL.
This Living Fairy Tale of ours, well it has a king and it has a queen too. It has a hero and it has a heroine. It has love, it has tears, it has rescue, it has miracles. It even has a magical (as in TRUE magic) "bird" called the Holy Spirit or Grace that guides us. And above all it has an awesome and truly loving God who holds all of this in the very palm of His hands. How much more fairy tale can one get : ) ?
Fairy tales have plenty of struggles and trials in them, they are essential to the tale, essential to the making of heros and rescues. And if our tale is lived out, it just must lead to a happily ever after somehow in the end. Whether we can "see" it or not. So this blog, this life really, is coming from a place of longing so much for our Living Fairy Tale, its just so irresistible...
